The Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District routinely places traps throughout the Valley to collect adult mosquitoes. The traps help determine the number of adult mosquitoes in a particular area, guiding our control efforts.
Adult mosquitoes capable of transmitting diseases are collected and tested to determine if any virus is present. Different traps attract mosquitoes exhibiting different behaviors.
If you see a mosquito trap, please do not disturb it!
